16/07/2009 News - Teoh Beng Hock, political secretary to Selangor executive council member Ean Yong Hian Wah, died under mysterious circumstances after plunging Thursday from a building where the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is located.
Teoh was taken in for questioning by the MACC Wednesday evening in relation to a probe on several political assemblypersons.
The 30-year old Teoh was a former Sin Chew Daily journalist before leaving to take up his appointment after the 2008 general elections. SHAH ALAM 06/01/2011: The lengthy Teoh Beng Hock inquest ended with coroner Azmil Muntapha Abas ruling that the political aide did not commit suicide.

Azmil Muntapha, however, also said there was insufficient evidence to prove that Teoh’s death was homicide.

Given this, the coroner delivered an open verdict, much to the disappointment of Teoh’s family members, friends and supporters.
